TELLES higlighted again in The Legal 500 Green Guide EMEA 2023

TELLES is once again recognized internationally as one of the leading law firms that has stood out the most in the field of Environment and Climate Mitigation, according to the “Green Guide EMEA 2023”, promoted by the prestigious international directory The Legal 500.

Ivone Rocha, head of the Environment & Climate Change and the Energy and Natural Resources practices, stands out for creating a multidisciplinary team that helps clients integrate ESG and carbon neutrality objectives into corporate strategies. To this end, Ivone provides advice on issues such as waste regulation, energy transition and decarbonisation.

The TELLES lawyer, with a long career in this sector, is mentioned in her support to several organizations and projects, such as AdEPorto (Porto Energy Agency), in the project that combats energy poverty by promoting energy efficiency in buildings, communities of renewable energy and collective self-consumption.

Ivone Rocha is the co-author of two books dedicated to the theme of decarbonisation of the economy, one on the regulated carbon market and the other on the Paris Agreement. Ivone is on the list of arbiters for energy issues at CAMICAG, she is a founding member of the board of Sustainable Growth Platform, chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Portuguese Electric Mobility Association and member of the 'Women for the Climate' and 'Women in Energy' movement.

All these reasons deserved the attention of The Legal 500 directory, which, once again, highlights TELLES as a law firm with a relevant role in the energy transition. In addition to other initiatives, Ivone Rocha is also the founder of Business As Usual, an NGO that promotes gender equality and sustainable consumption within the circular economy, as well as founder and member of the Board of APDEN (Portuguese Association of Right to Energy) and EFELA (European Federation of Energy Law Associations).

The Legal 500's Green Guide EMEA highlights law firms that, on an international scale, contribute to a more sustainable economy through work provided to clients, initiatives developed with NGOs or other external entities, implementation of good practices and internal policies related to the green economy and ESG criteria.
