Informative Note | Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code and the Law establishing measures to combat organized and economic and financial crime

After the recent changes introduced by Law No. 94/2021, of 21 December, to the Criminal Procedure Code, in terms of impediments of judges and representation of legal persons in criminal proceedings, the Parliament approved, on 2022.07.08, the diploma that once again amends the CPC and Law n.º 5/2002, of 11 January, which establishes fight against organized and economic and financial crime (Decree of the Assembly of the Republic 5/XV published in the Official Diary of the Assembly of the Republic on 2022.07.18).
