TELLES joins the national campaign for recognition of the climate as a Common Heritage of Humanity

TELLES joins, in first line, the mission of recognition of the climate as a Common Heritage of Humanity, a pioneer national mission worldwide.

This initiative aims to lead the adherent companies and organisations to promote and support the actions developed by this mission and to participate in the recruitment of new members. This mission, which aims to include the Stable Climate as a Common Heritage of Humanity, puts Portugal in the spotlight as a world precursor in an initiative of this scope and as a driving force in the discussion of the legal status of the climate. The goal is that, in addition to a "common good", as it is considered, for example, in the Paris Agreement, is part of the Common Heritage of Humanity.
The adhesion to this initiative is in line with the corporate commitment of TELLES with sustainability.

Ivone Rocha, head of TELLES’ Environment and Climate Change practice, considers that "this new qualification of Climate is an important step in creating a new collective ethical awareness able to incorporate the climate impact in the behavior/activity of each citizen, each company, each entity".

REN, BMW Portugal, Portway, Faber Castell, Águas do Algarve, Águas do Tejo Atlântico, Associação Comercial do Porto, ICNF, Conselho Económico e Social, Conselho Nacional do Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Sustentável, ZERO environmental organization, LIDERA (voluntary system for the evaluation of sustainable construction), Portuguese Plastics Industry Association and the National Federation of Youth Associations are the Portuguese companies and organizations that are currently part of this mission.

In the year in which TELLES is celebrating 30 years, it is important to highlight that environmental and social sustainability is part of its DNA.
