Margarida Rosado da Fonseca, co-head of the European Law and Competition practice at TELLES, will attend the annual meeting of the Steering Committee of FIDE - International Federation of European Law, in Sofia, Bulgaria, which brings together representatives of national associations, such as APDE - Portuguese Association of European Law. She will also participate in the XXX FIDE Congress, which will be held in the same Bulgarian city, Sofia, between 31 May and 3 June 2023.
Margarida Rosado da Fonseca will be present as Secretary General of APDE and co-rapporteur of the Portuguese report on the new geopolitical dimension of EU trade and competition policy. This is Theme II of the XXX FIDE Congress, whose general rapporteurs are Jean François Bellis and Isabelle Van Damme.
The other two topics are "I - Mutual Trust, Mutual Recognition and the Rule of Law (General Rapporteur - Prof. Miguel Poiares Maduro) and III - European Social Union (General Rapporteur - Sophie Robin Olivier).
The Congress is one of the most renowned and prestigious events on European Law, providing a privileged forum for brainstorming and debate on important issues of European Law and how they affect both the Member States and the European Institutions.
