Informative Note | Tech Visa

On January 28, Ordinance No. 59-A/2022 was published, which brought important changes within the scope of the Tech Visa program.

Tech Visa is a program created to make the granting of residence visas and granting of residence permits more effective and efficient for highly qualified immigrants, hired by companies duly certified by IAPMEI. The main objective of this program is to expedite the granting of a residence visa/assignment of a residence permit, whenever the legal requirements are met. Tech Visa, initially created with the sole purpose of certifying innovative companies in the technology sector, underwent changes with Ordinance No. 59-A/2022, of January 28.
