Decree-Law no. 57/2022, of 25 August, which introduces changes to articles 129th, no. 1, and 130th., no. 3, of the Insolvency and Business Recovery Code (CIRE), concerning the processing of the incident of verification of liabilities and classification of credits in the insolvency process.
Following the provisions of component 18 of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, presented by the Portuguese State to the European Commission, in line with the commitment to greater efficiency in the insolvency and recovery of companies, this amendment aims to simplify the credit ranking process, now being carried out by the Insolvency Administrator, subject only to ratification by the Judge when enacting the sentence.
