TELLES has appointed four new partners and reinforced its commitment to organic growth

TELLES has just announced the appointment of four new partners: Guilherme Seabra Galante, José Pedroso de Melo, Nuno Marques and Pedro Matias Pereira. This brings the firm's total number of partners to 27 out of a total of 150 lawyers.

The new partners will work in key areas such as Corporate, M&A and Private Equity, Tax, and Public and Urban Planning. This consolidates TELLES' commitment to developing new skills and approaches, and to supporting national and international clients in strategic sectors of the economy.

Guilherme Seabra Galante and Nuno Marques will be working in the Corporate, M&A and Private Equity area. Guilherme Seabra Galante has 15 years of professional experience and is recognised nationally and internationally for his expertise in privatisations, corporate reorganisations, private equity and commercial contracts. He has also provided regular legal advice to listed companies and large groups, particularly in the tourism and transport sectors.

Nuno Marques has around 19 years of professional experience and has developed expertise in privatisations, corporate reorganisations, private equity and commercial contracts. He has been involved in some of the most significant and complex national and cross-border transactions in various industry sectors, including energy, infrastructure and transport.

José Pedroso de Melo has become a partner in the tax department. He is a Specialist Lawyer in Tax Law, a title conferred by the Portuguese Bar Association, and has 29 years of professional experience. He has extensive experience in tax litigation, as well as providing legal and tax advice to large Portuguese and multinational business groups, particularly in the banking, insurance, and real estate sectors, and in corporate restructuring transactions.

Pedro Matias Pereira has become a partner specialising in public and urban planning. With 18 years of professional experience, he is dedicated to the formation and execution of public contracts and administrative litigation and arbitration, as well as advising public and private entities. He has an impressive academic background, having taught at the Faculty of Law at the University of Coimbra and at other institutions on specialised courses. He is currently completing his PhD in Public Law. He is the author of a monograph and several scientific articles.

These appointments reflect TELLES’ ongoing commitment to developing and valuing the talent we nurture. Young, highly qualified and specialised talent prepared to contribute actively to the evolution of the legal sector.” More than individual recognition, they reflect a consistent strategy of strengthening our teams, who are able to face the challenges of increasingly dynamic, demanding and technologically driven sectors and markets with rigour, innovation and vision,” says Francisco Espregueira Mendes, Managing Partner at TELLES.

These appointments reinforce TELLES' strategy of sustained growth, recognising the merit, specialisation, and leadership skills of its lawyers. They also demonstrate a commitment to nurturing internal talent and fostering legal excellence. This positions TELLES as a strategic and trusted partner that is fully aligned with the challenges and objectives of its clients.
