TELLES advised CODAN Portugal on the negotiation and acquisition of a 168,552 square metre building in the municipality of Alcobaça, where the company intends to set up a new industrial unit that is expected to create around 500 jobs.
TELLES' Real Estate and Construction practice, coordinated by partners Pedro Almeida e Sousa and Miguel Nogueira Leite, advised CODAN Portugal at every stage of the process, including the analysis of the building, the definition of the terms of negotiation, the review and negotiation of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Municipality of Alcobaça, and the closing of the acquisition. The TELLES team ensured that all contractual and legal requirements were met until the formalisation of the sale and purchase agreement.
The project was coordinated by Luís Ferraz Marques, an associate in TELLES' Real Estate and Construction practice, who guaranteed the viability and legal security of the operation, closely monitoring all the key decisions and enabling the success of a strategic operation of great importance for CODAN's industrial expansion in Portugal.
