Pedro Vidigal Monteiro, partner and coordinator of the firm's Digital, Privacy and Cybersecurity practice at TELLES, and Ana Ferreira Neves, partner in the same practice, have been appointed national rapporteurs for the next FIDE (International Federation for European Law) Congress, which will take place in May 2025.
The TELLES partners contributed to the chapter on "EU Digital Economy: General Framework (DSA/DMA) and Special Regimes", where they addressed key issues such as the European Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA), among other specialised legal regimes. This national contribution will form part of the general report to be presented and discussed at the Congress.
FIDE is recognised as one of the most prestigious international platforms for legal reflection on European Union law. The biennial Congress is a forum of excellence for the practical and academic discussion of relevant European legal issues, both from the perspective of the Member States and the European institutions.
This nomination recognises the work carried out by TELLES' Digital, Privacy and Intellectual Property team and reinforces TELLES' commitment to analysing and closely monitoring developments in European Union law on digital issues.
