Ivone Rocha, partner and coordinator of the Environment and Climate Change and Energy and Natural Resources areas at TELLES, will be a guest speaker at the first session of the “On the Road to Decarbonisation” conference cycle, organised by Sonorgas, which is dedicated to the theme “The importance of renewable gas in the development of energy communities”.
Ivone Rocha will be part of the panel dedicated to the theme ‘Renewable Gas – Pillar for Energy Communities: Project: Energy Communities with Renewable Gas', where she will discuss the key challenges and opportunities of collective gas self-consumption.
Her speech will emphasise the importance of sustainable energy solutions in achieving energy transition targets and will reinforce the need for an appropriate legal framework to enable these initiatives.
The session will be attended by Jean Barroca, the Deputy Secretary of State for Energy, and José António Peixoto Lima, the Mayor of Celorico de Basto.
Taking place in Celorico de Basto on 27 October, the event will bring together experts, policymakers, businesses, and academic institutions to discuss the role of networks and renewable solutions in the energy transition.
