In statements to Diário do Minho, Ivone Rocha, partner and coordinator of the Environment & Climate Change and Energy & Natural Resources practices at TELLES, emphasised the importance of integrating ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria into organisations' strategies.
The lawyer emphasises that “it is essential to include ESG terms in corporate strategy because, without a new economic and social model based on sustainability, our future and our existence as a species is at stake”.
Ivone Rocha recently took part in the “ESG Braga: Challenges, Opportunities and Best Practices” conference, which was organised by the Católica Braga Executive Academy, the Braga Business Association (AEB) and the Católica Porto Business School.
In her speech, entitled 'Integrating ESG into Long-Term Strategy: Challenges for Companies', the TELLES partner emphasised the increasing significance of these criteria in establishing sustainable, responsible, and competitive corporate policies.
