Carlos Lucena, Founding Partner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of TELLES, received the Corporate Law Career Award from the Association of Portuguese Law Firms (ASAP) last Friday, 29 September.
The award to the founding partner of TELLES represents the legal market's recognition of his 40-year career in the Portuguese legal profession.
The award was announced at the 12th National Meeting of ASAP, held at the Cultural Centre of Belém.
A lawyer specialising in commercial law, corporate law and mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and real estate, Carlos Lucena has been involved in major transactions in Portugal and abroad throughout his career. With extensive experience in advising family businesses, family offices and families associated with businesses, Carlos Lucena is one of Portugal's most recognised and respected lawyers in this sector. Carlos currently heads the Family Business and Corporate Governance Team. He is the author of several publications and a guest speaker at various national and international conferences, seminars and other events on corporate and family governance.
Manuel Magalhães e Silva (RBMS), Pedro Rebelo de Sousa (SRS), Carlos Cruz (CCA Law Firm) and Miguel Teixeira de Abreu (Abreu Advogados) were also honoured.
