TELLES lawyers write about Artificial Intelligence and Synthetic Data for The Legal 500

TELLES’ Digital, Privacy and Cybersecurity team prepared an overview on Artificial Intelligence and Synthetic Data for The Legal 500, one of the most prestigious international directories.

In this article, Pedro Vidigal Monteiro and João Santiago Silva, partner and associate, respectively, expert lawyers in Digital, Privacy and Cybersecurity analyse the landscape of Artificial Intelligence, in particular the advantages of synthetic data in the creation of Artificial Intelligence models.

The lawyers, in collaboration with YData, conclude that synthetical data can potentially lay grounds for compliance with applicable law in data protection and privacy, notably the GDPR. In some cases, it would not be necessary to promote a flexible interpretation of the law so as not to undermine the use of personal data for Artificial Intelligence purposes.
