Informative Note | Amendments to the Insolvency and Corporate Recovery Code and Related Legislation

Law No. 9/2022, of 11th January, transposes the European Union Directive 2019/1023, of 20th June 2019, approving legislative measures to support, guarantee and speed up the restructuring processes of companies and the process of insolvency of natural persons.

This Law, which enters into force on April 11, 2022, amends the Insolvency and Corporate Recovery Code (CIRE), the Commercial Companies Code, the Commercial Registration Code and related legislation.
