Legislative Changes in Labour Law April 2017

Regulation 131/2017 dated as of April 7

This regulation regarding “Professional Trainings” aims to support the insertion of young people in the labour market or the retraining of the unemployed people through a practical experience in the context of work, being partly funded by the public entity “Institute for the Employment and Professional Training”.

This regulation differs from the previous ones by the following main aspects:

• Definition of periods for submission of applications, with specific financial allocations;

• Introduction of a limit number of trainees per entity and per each calendar year;

• Narrowing and differentiation of qualification levels;

• Granting of “bonus” for companies that integrate trainees, in open-ended contracts, after the end of the internship.
