Informative Note | Investment Companies Regime

Decree-Law no. 109-H/2021 («DL 109-H/2021») was recently published, approving the new Regime for Investment Companies («REI»), which came into force on the 1st of February 2022.

With this new regime, the regulation of investment companies is now concentrated in the present law – despite its application in conjunction with the Securities Code – which also introduces relevant matters that should be taken into account from now on.
